"Rapunzel knows best, Rapunzel’s so mature now. Such a clever, grown up miss. Rapunzel knows best. Fine, if you’re so sure now, go ahead and give him this! Ha! This is why he’s here, don’t let him deceive you. Give it to him watch, you’ll see! Trust me, my dear, that’s how fast he’ll leave you. I won’t say “I told you so”. "

"On an island that I own, tanned and rested and alone…. Surrounded by enormous piles of money! "

Of all the stories her mother had told her about ruffians and thugs, she never realized that she’d never had any sort of picture of them in mind. Now, looking down at the man on her floor, she wonders. He isn’t frightening. He isn’t menacing and he doesn’t have pointy teeth or- or fangs, like her mother warned. In fact, he looks peaceful. He looks like he’s sleeping, vulnerable and gentle and innocent, almost like a child. His lashes brush the tops of his cheek bones, his mouth is relaxed, slack. And as she looks down at him, she feels something new. Something wonderful. Her stomach squirms, like she has birds fluttering around inside of her. Her head tilts to the side as she studies him, her breath rushing out of her lungs. She’s unaware of this.
Then, he opens his eyes. She sees only a flash of brown before her reflexes put him back into his vulnerable state.
I heard this quote in the trailer for “One Day” and it reminded me of Eugene and Rapunzel
